As a recent new hire of UCHealth (employment after January 1, 2019), a background check called CAPS was initiated as part of the pre-employment background check run on all new hires. This specific check is run through the Colorado Adult Protection Services (CAPS) databases. This check is a Colorado regulation of all employers as of January 1, 2019, and is part of our standard background check on all new hires.

You most likely received notifications of this check previously asking you to fill out an authorization form and return the information to Universal. This authorization is specific to the CAPS search. You’ll be receiving a request from eforms@universalbackground.com to complete this as your check has not yet been completed due to the missing authorization. This email will be sent to the email you provided in your application for employment. We ask that you complete this as soon as possible and failure to complete this may result in termination of your UCHealth employment.
